Arnold “Skip” LeFebre, 78, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on April 19th, 2016 at Mulder Health Care Center in West Salem Wisconsin

He was born on March 14th, 1938 to Arnold Luke LeFebre I and Bernice (Lamke) LeFebre in LaCrosse, WI. He married Anita (Thaldorf) LeFebre  in Onalaska on March 29th, 1958.

Skip loved to work with his hands and stayed busy in the home building and electrical business.  He ran LeFebre Electric and Construction for many years and built many homes in the Onalaska and LaCrosse area.  He also mentored many in the construction trade.  He was a Cubmaster with the Boy Scouts of America, he was an Onalaska alderman and ran for mayor.  Skip was also a big supporter of the Onalaska booster club while his kids were in school and enjoyed Onalaska athletics.   He enjoyed softball and sponsored many softball teams.  He loved playing cards, the American Legion, going to church and Marges on the north side.  Skip had compassion on those that were down on their luck and loved to give of his time and resources to the less fortunate.

He is survived by Anita (Thaldorf) LeFebre; his sons, Arnie, Andrew Todd, Alan, and his daughter Amy (Scott) Urbanek.  Skip has 12 grandchildren Trevor and Tylar LeFebre.  Avian, Serena, and Anthony Urbanek.  Christina, BrookeLynn, Josiah, Micah, Rachael, Elijah and Selah LeFebre.  He also has 2 step grandchildren Brandon and Miranda, and 1 great granddaughter Eden and many extended relatives.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Bernice (Lamke) LeFebre; his brothers, George, Charles, and David.  He has gone to meet his 3 sons Mark, Matthew and Michael who passed away at young ages.

The family sends a special thanks to Rivers Harvest Church for all their support and encouragement over the years.  Though Skip had to deal with debilitating ‘Parkinson’s’ disease he made sure he saw his church family every week and you always portrayed your love and encouragement.  Thank you to Mulder Health Care Center for your care and support and also Coulee Cremation Group for their services in this difficult time.

Visitation will be at Rivers Harvest Church (1001 Quincy St., Onalaska) from 2 till time of service at 5 pm on Saturday April 23rd.  Pastor Andy T. LeFebre will be officiating.

Condolences
