Bonnie A. Nelson, 69, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Monday, April 14, 2014, at Bethany St. Joseph Care Center with her daughter and son-in-law at her side.

Bonnie was born in Madison, WI, on April 1, 1945 to Harold and Violetta Nelson.

She is survived by her daughter, Anna (John) Dawson and son, Jason Goth; five granddaughters, Taylor Baker, Shayla (Cody) Dornack, Skylar and Sydney Goth, and Chanel Hall; step-grandchildren, Cody and Rylee Dawson; great-grandson, Aiden; sisters, Billie (George), Cherokee (Ray), Connie (Keith), Amy, Sonja, and Dixie; brothers Matt (Cindy), Gunnar, Knute (Nancy), Robert (Judy), Tom, along with many nieces, and nephews. She also leaves behind a special friend, John Farkas and her beloved cat, Dexie.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and son, Garrett Hall.

Bonnie had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Special thanks to the staff at Bethany St. Joseph for their care and compassion over the past couple of years.

In keeping with Bonnie’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
