Elaine Mae Campbell 78 of Holmen WI Passed way peacefully on March 28th, 2017 in Bethany St. Joseph Nursing Home, LaCrosse. She was born Feb 18th 1939 ti Andrew and Evelyn Vetsch. She married John E. Campbell in 1958. They later divorced in 1980.
Elaine was a stay at home Mom. She raised four boys. She enjoyed camping and cooking. In her last 4 years at the nursing home, she loved all of the activities, especially Bingo. She also enjoyed music , going to church and just going for rides in the country. Her favorite TV show was Animal planet and also watching NASCAR with her sons. She loved her pets dearly and also collected duck and goose figurines.
Elaine is survived by her four sons; Randy Campbell, of Holmen, John (Korinne) Campbell and grandson Jacob (Alana) Campbell of Holmen, Dan Campbell of Holmen and Todd Campbell of Holmen. Her brothers Laverne Vetsch of Lacrosse and Dwayne (Linda ) Vetsch of Bangor and sister Mary Campbell of Holmen.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Evelyn Vetch. Also her sisters Rose Klos and Shirley Lutz.
A special thank you to her son Dan Campbell for helping to take care of her while she was in the nursing home. Also thank you to Bethany St. Joes nursing home for caring for her until her passing.
She will be deeply missed by everyone.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday April 5th at Coulee Region Cremation Group 133 Mason St. Onalaska. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Pastor Andy LeFebre is officiating.
