Ester Lorraine Gallagher

Ester Lorraine Gallagher, 55, of Blair, Wisconsin, died in her home, surrounded by family, on Monday evening from complications of leukemia. Mrs. Gallagher, whom friends and loved ones knew by her middle name, moved to Wisconsin with her family from her native Texas in 1996. For a number of years, Mrs. Gallagher was an operations director and personal banker at Independence State Bank, where she came to know the canorous personalities in the local community. She was the nucleus of her family, and she passed on her love of music, laughter and fun to her three children. Lorraine had a spark for life that couldn’t be undone, even by cancer, and she remained vibrant and dignified until the end of her life.Mrs. Gallagher is survived by her husband Daniel, whom she was married to for 28 years, as well as her daughters Natalie and Valerie, her son Patrick, her brother Domingo Perales and her mother, Lucille Ramirez-McClanahan. She was preceded in death by her father, Julian Torres.A memorial service to celebrate the joy and warmth Mrs. Gallagher provided to those who knew her will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 30, at the Monarch Valley Whitetail Lodge, N33864 Shelly Ridge Rd., Blair, WI.
