Jeannie Lynn (Johnson) Mathews, 43, of Sparta, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.  She was born on April 10, 1972, to Floyd Sr and Linda Johnson.  She married Steven Mathews on April 17, 2004 in Shamrock, WI.

Jeannie enjoyed doing arts and crafts, flower gardening, camping, and motorcycle rides.   She also loved her 72 Impala Convertible.

She is survived by her husband, Steven; son, Timothy Edmison of Sparta; daughters, Kelsey Edmison of Black River Falls, Kylee Mathews of Sparta; brothers, Floyd (Terri) Johnson of Bangor, Gerald Lasko of Rockland, Jason Johnson of West Salem, Todd (Laura) Johnson of Sparta; sisters, Nancy (Bill) Peterson of Sparta, Jennifer (Brian) Lasko of Tomah; grandson, Remi James Edmison; step mother, Donna Johnson of West Salem; and many other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Linda; and step father Gerald G. Lasko.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church in Bangor with visitation two hours prior to the service also at the church.  Pastor Stephanie M. Steiner will officiate.
