John “Jack” Joseph Magin, 88, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2017 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse.  He was born December 17, 1928 to Herman and Barbara (Jansky) Magin.  He married Margaret “Maggie” Crogan August 5, 1950 in La Crosse.

Jack enjoyed gardening, woodworking, cooking and the Green Bay Packers. He worked in the glass business for many years as a partner in La Crosse Glass Company.

Jack is survived by his son, Steve; daughters, Mindy (Ron) Bakken, Tracey (Phil) Young; grandchildren, Ben and Joe Bakken, Shelby (Matt) Vinson, Collin Young; great-grandchildren, Eli, Tulia, Isla Vinson and Lucas Bakken;  sisters-in-law, Evie Magin, Sally Magin, Marian Crogan; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maggie; siblings and in-laws.

In accordance with his wishes there will be no services.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
