Johnny Wayne Thiessen

Johnny Wayne Thiessen (66) passed away May 18, 2016 at Franciscan Healthcare in Lacrosse, WI.  He was born April 9th, 1950 to Grant and Dorothy Thiessen in Arizona.  He was raised in Oklahoma with 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

Johnny married Linda Roberts on July 3, 1989 in Allamakee County, Iowa.  They lived in Necedah, WI a majority of their marriage.  He was a truck driver for 40 plus years, and he retired from Keene’s Transfer out of Tomah, WI where he worked for 27 years.  He enjoyed grilling for cook-outs, Green Bay Packers, and shaking dice with friends and family.  He also liked watching Gunsmoke and action movies (What’s wrong with that!!, as he would of said).

He is survived by wife Linda Thiessen of Necedah, WI, son Jeff Thiessen of Jones, OK, daughter Lorie Clinton of Necedah, WI, brother Karol (Linda) Thiessen of Ok, Sisters Janell Charlton of Ok, Mary (John) Smith of TN, Debbie (Charlie) Reed of OK, sisters-in-law Wanda Thiessen, Lori (Doug) Bowman, Diane (Billy) Whitfield, brother-in-law Chuck (Dawn) Roberts, mother-in-law Melvina Roberts, grandsons Cody Thiessen, Austin and Evan Clinton, great-grandson Braxton Thiessen, friend and ex brother-in-law Gary Zernia, and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers Howard, Bob and Fred Thiessen. sister-in-law Judy Thiessen, and father-in-law Albert (Bud) Roberts.

Thank you to friends and family for your support and condolences. To the Doctor’s and staff of Tomah Memorial Healthcare and Franciscan Healthcare of Lacrosse, WI.  Also to the home health nurses of Recover Health Services.
