Leonard ‘Len’ Resler passed away peacefully at the Tomah VA Hospice with family at his side.  He was born Aug 3, 1925, to Joseph and Mollie (Marsolek) Resler.  He was married to Marjorie (Klimek) Resler for 47 years.

Len was a WWII veteran and served in the South Pacific.  Throughout his life, he owned several businesses in the La Crosse and surrounding area.  Upon an early retirement, he had various jobs, including a stay-at-home father for his two beautiful children.  Blessed with a natural artistic ability. Len enjoyed working with a variety of media including oil, watercolor, ceramic, and wood.  Len loved discussing and debating his views of the world.  He had a passion for nature’s beauty and strength.  Len’s sharp wit and clever play on words, provided laughter to many.  Faith, family and friends were his greatest treasures.  His Catholic faith was a source of strength and hope.

Len is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren, Dr. Molly (Dr. John) Mulligan and their children, Madeline, Jack, Luke, and Megan of Burr Ridge, IL.; Jon (Katherine) Resler of North Liberty, IA.;  Jeff (Diane) Resler of Carson City, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters and their spouses, Helen (Leo) Fernholz and Caroline (Roman) Klimek.

Warmest appreciation and gratitude to Monsignor Steven Kachel, Father Ivan Torres, Jolene Renda, NP, and the entire Tomah VA Hospice staff for their compassionate and unparalleled dedication in caring for Len and his family throughout his journey.

Will miss Len dearly. Have a lot of fond memories of Len over the course of my lifetime. Met Len first at cardiac rehabilitation at U of W at LaCrosse. Ken and I also remember Len from all the picnics held at the Resler and Wetzsteon backyards. Awesome memories.
