LeRoy Bernard Breidel

LeRoy Bernard Breidel, 84, of Holmen, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2014. He was born in La Crosse on August 16, 1930 to Bernard and Florence Breidel. He married Patricia Pervisky in the fall of 1953.

LeRoy served in the United States Marine Corp and served his country in the Korean War. He worked at Trane Company, Epsteins Fish Market and Munson Realty until he retired earlier this year. LeRoy was a very hard worker but he loved gardening, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed vacationing in Laughlin, Wendover, walks with his faithful dog Cricket, and Sunday morning coffee with his two boys.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Patricia; 2 sons, Steven (Christine Thompson) Breidel, Randy (Sheri McDonald) Breidel both of Holmen; 5 grandchildren, Christina (Brian) Paszek, Alicia (Jeremiah) Reed, Jeremy (Amber) Breidel, Matthew (Katie) Breidel, and Eryn Ruoff; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy of Milwaukee; and his beloved dog, Cricket.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and four sisters.

The family would like to thank the Gundersen Health System Hospice for their compassionate care and to all of our family and friends for their love, support and prayers.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at the Coulee Region Cremation Group and Funeral Home, 133 Mason St., Onalaskas. The Rev. Ted Dewald will officiate with burial at the Green Mound Cemetery in Holmen. A visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of service at the funeral home.

    If this is the man who previously lived on Pinecrest St. in Holmen, I miss seeing him and his buddy Cricket going for their walk. Rest in Peace Friend.
