Lisa_MickschlLisa Jean (Kessler) Mickschl, 44 passed away peacefully at her sister’s home, Monday January 11, 2010 surrounded by her loving family.  Lisa was born April 12, 1965 to Tom and Jackie (Aylsworth) Kessler of Onalaska. Lisa married Willie Mickschl on January 30, 1988, they later divorced.  She attended Logan High School.

Lisa’s kind warm, gentle heart and her zest for life will be greatly missed by all.  She loved to laugh and have fun. She had a passion for singing ever since she was a little girl, and enjoyed singing karaoke every chance she could.  Lisa loved animals and was forever bringing home stray pets for her family to adopt.  She had a very strong faith and believed in her guardian angels, and all the signs they sent her from heaven.  Her family is finding great comfort knowing that she is now their guardian angel. Lisa’s greatest love of all was for her three sons, Joe, Nick, and Ryan.

Lisa is survived by her parents, her sons, Joe (Carly) Kessler, Nick and Ryan Mickschl all of LaCrosse, and by her sister Linda (Todd) Clements of West Salem and her brother David (Karen) Kessler of Holmen. Lisa is also survived by her very special friend and companion Jerry Retzlaff. Her nieces and nephew, Jennifer (Robby) Ahlert Justin Miller, Dani, Ally and Jamie Kessler, her step niece and nephew Chelsea and Cody Clements, and her great nephews Bailey and Conner Ahlert. She is also survived by many Aunts Uncles and cousins who all loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Harry (Carp) and Catherine Kessler and her maternal grandparents Joseph and Verna Aylsworth, her uncles Harold Kessler and Jimmy Aylsworth.

We would like to thank Franciscan Skemp and Dr Sharma, Dr Adams, Dr Jones, and Dr Kosiak, Dr. Brumm, and all of the seventh floor nurses and staff, for taking such wonderful care of Lisa and our family.  We would also like to thank hospice and nurse Tia for everything she did in helping us through this difficult time.
