Of Holmen, Marie “Tootsie” L. Tooley, 68 passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born on May 9, 1945 to Lindahl and Gladys (Sanding) Anderson. She married Phillip “Phil” Tooley September 5, 1964 at North Presbyterian Church in La Crosse.

She enjoyed word puzzles, ceramics, cake decorating, hummingbirds, blue birds, junior mints, cooking and mostly spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband; children, Jeff (Diane) Tooley, Linda Tooley, Sarah (Jacob Martin) Tooley; grandchildren, Nathen Tooley, Joshua Tooley; siblings, Russel Duane (Donna) Sanding, David (Sandra) Sanding, Lyle (Louise) Anderson, Steve Anderson, Vicki (Dennis) Jonas, Sue (Bob) Loughan, Nellene Campbell, Kristy (Loren) Anderson; brother-in-law, Robert (Carol) Tooley; special dogs, Sammi and Leon; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the North Presbyterian Church, 1327 Salem Rd., La Crosse. Pastor Scott Skogen will officiate with interment at the North Coon Prairie Church Cemetery, Westby. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church Tuesday. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
