Matthew “Matt” J. Foote

Matthew “Matt” Joseph Foote, 35, of Trempealeau, died peacefully on Januray 29, 2015 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born November 29, 1979 to Danny and Lynda (Cronin) Foote. He married Tracy Wathen on May 3, 2008 at the Pettibone Shelter in La Crosse.

Matt enjoyed fishing, wood working, joking around, camping and all outdoor activities. Above all, he cherished spending time with his 3 daughters.

He is survived by his wife, Tracy; daughters, Jade, Abby, Marlee; parents, Danny and Lynda; sister, Emily (Adam Johnson) Foote; nephews, Hunter, Dylan, Evan; niece, Iris; grandfather, Donald Foote; parents-in-law, Dennis (Barb) Wathen; and many relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.

The family would like to thank the Trempealeau First Responders, the Gundersen Health System care providers and the UW Madison Organ Transplant Team for giving others the gift of life and honoring him by raising the first donor flag.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Trempealeau. Pastor Dana Jackson will officiate. Visitations will be held at the church on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm and Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
