Milton Strong
Milton Strong, 87, of La Crosse passed away peacefully on Friday September 11, 2015, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 8, 1928 to Merl and Julia (Sparks) Strong. He married Lorna Mae Irons December 1, 1951 in Lansing, IA. He was a commercial painter in the Tristate area prior to his retirement.
After retirement, he and Lorna enjoyed traveling in their motor home to various states. When he was not traveling, he was gardening, cooking and putzing in his garage.
Milt is survived by his six children; Vickie Bosley, Harriet Finch, Milton (Lynn) Strong, Merl (Kathy) Strong, Brenda Strong all of La Crosse. And Mark (Mary Beth) Strong of Bastrop TX ; Six grandchildren, Selene, Sara, Amber, Bruce, Cassandra, Danielle; two Great grandchildren, Jackson and Khloe. One sister, Gladys Triggs of Waukon, IA and numerous ‘favorite’ nieces and nephews.
Proceded in death by his parents, his wife Lorna, a son-in-law Bruce Finch, six brothers and one sister.
Keeping with dad’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held from 6 pm to 9 pm on Saturday, October 10th at the French Island Community Center, 617 Plainview Road, French Island WI
Memorials may be given to the charity of donors choice.
