Roger passed away peacefully on the morning of February 1st in the company of his wife, Nancy and son, DeLane after battling cancer.

He was born, January 13th 1950 to Russell & Naomi (Ditlevson) Horning in Albert Lea, MN at Neavy Hospital.

He is preceded in death by his mother & father, his son, Shane Walter & nephew, Rick Horning.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Nancy (Ames) Horning, his children; DeLane (Patty) Horning of Peterson, MN, Tracy (Cami) Hawkinson of San Diego, CA, Anna (Bruce) Nelson of Wykoff, MN, Sarah (Roger) Bearbower of Rushford, MN, his brothers; Duane (Shirley) Horning, Dean (Lonna) Horning, Lowell (RuthAnn) Horning, Gerald Horning & seven grandchildren.

Roger enjoyed traveling, motorcycling, Westerns, Star Trek & family.

He will be remembered for his laugh, smile, blue eyes and “MacGyver” skills.

His faith in Christ was expressed most passionately serving in jail ministry. He served as the president on the Second Chance Jail Ministry Board. He also enjoyed outings with the Faith Riders Motorcycle Group.

Memorial Services will be held Friday, February 5th, 10am, at Living Light Church in Winona, MN. Luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given either to Nancy Horning or Second Chance Jail Ministries in care of Living Light Church.

A benefit to aid with medical expenses will be held at a date and details to be announced.
