Russell Jon Dresdow

Russell Jon Dresdow, 48, of La Crosse, passed away on January 25, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on December 14, 1968 in Eau Claire, WI to Russell and Karen (Englebretson) Dresdow. They moved to La Crosse when he was five years old. Russell graduated from Logan High School in 1987 and from Western Technical College in 1989. He worked at X-cel Energy for over 23 years as a meter reader and a service technician. Russell was a volunteer for the Genoa and Holmen Fire Departments. He loved hunting and being outdoors. He was an avid Nascar and Packer fan.

Russell is survived by his son, R.J., of West Salem; father, Russ (Vicki) of Eau Claire; mother, Karen Englebretson of Onalaska; sisters, Debbie (John) Penfield of Arizona, Diane Domingos of La Crosse; step sister, Kris Schnack of Eau Claire; step brothers, Jeff Lepsch of Iowa, Jon (Jodi) Lepsch of Eau Claire; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Monday, January 30, 2017 at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, WI. A private service will be held at a later date.

Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.

    My thoughts are with all of you. My heart extends out to all of you in this horrible tragedy. I keep thinking back babysitting Russell, Debbie and Diane. I see in my mind the fun times we had while I was caring for them. Prayers have been said by me to all of you.
