Timothy L. Hanson, 68, of Trempealeau, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family
Thursday, May 4, 2017.

Tim was born May 3, 1949 to Lorin and Margaret Hanson. He was a veteran who served bravely in the Vietnam War. Upon returning from the War he spent years as a trucker putting many miles on across the highways of America. He also followed in his father’s footsteps by taking over the family business in HVAC repair. He married his long time sweetheart, Debra L. Hanson, on November 18, 2005. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and his patriotism was spread to many as he continued to honor his brothers in arms.

He is survived by his wife, Debra Hanson of Trempealeau; stepson Shane D. (Jennifer) Bender of
Sparta; brother Kelly (Rhonda) Hanson of Galesville; sister Mary Hanson of Indian Trail, NC; and sister Durelle (George) Morgan of Chattanooga, TN.

He was preceded in death by parents Lorin W. Hanson and Margaret H. Larkin and siblings James Hanson and Elizabeth Sleigh.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse for the support provided to his family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at the VFW in Trempealeau on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00pm.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
