Barbara Ann Eckert
Barbara Ann Eckert, 71, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2017 at the Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born April 25, 1945 to Alois and Anna Schleck. She married Bruce Eckert on May 19, 1972 in Byron, MN.
Barbara enjoyed crotcheting, donating her time and talents to the Catholic Church and knitting mittens for the Children’s Hospital and the needy.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Paul (Kim), Joseph (Rennie), Philip (Heather); 2 daughters, Julie (Mike) Coutts, Janet (Jon) Meyer; 9 grandchildren, Ben and Cole Eckert, Kaleb Eisermann, Cory, Anna and Ryan Eckert, Alexis and Elizabeth Eckert, Corbin Coutts; and many other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Eckert; parents and grandparents.
Her family would like to thank Dr. Khan and the staff at Gundersen Health System for their care.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska with a visitation one hour prior to the mass. Msgr. Steven Kachel will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Winona. Coulee Region Cremation Group is asissting the family.
I worked with your mom many years and always saw her knitting or doing some kind of craft. Very nice lady. God bless!!
