Bertha Ann Irish
After bravely battling cancer for the past year, Bertha Ann Irish,78, of Onalaska passed away in the early morning hours on Saturday, October 28. She died peacefully at home surrounded by friends and family. She was a retired teacher from Coulee Region Christian School. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
Bertha is survived by her husband of 56 years, David; and their three sons, Barry (Debi), Jeff, and Erik (Bethany); grandchildren, Sydney, Tyler, and Kaitlyn; her brother, Llewellyn (Judy) Reinstra; and her sister, Annie (Don) Haefs.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Spencer and Lorenza (nee Kenyon) Reinstra and two brothers, Dewey and Robert. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 4, at 4 PM at Rivers Harvest Church, 1001 Quincy St., Onalaska, 54650 with the Reverend Andy LeFebre officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 2 PM.
Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
Mrs. Irish was greatly loved and respected as a teacher and a role model. I was fortunate to have her as a teacher in her early career. We were able to connect again when she taught my daughter at CRCS.. The lessons she taught were ones that stayed with you for a lifetime. She will be greatly missed by many who knew her but we will see her again when God calls us home.
