Carolyn “Carol” (Taylor) Knobloch, 77, of Holmen, fought a hard battle with cancer but peacefully went to sleep for the last time May 3, 2018, at home surrounded by family.  She was born January 23, 1941 to Artie and Irma (Phillips) Taylor in Retreat.  She graduated from DeSoto High School in 1959.  Carol married Gerald (Jerry) Knobloch Jr November 24, 1962 in the gymnasium at Mt. Carol liked being a waitress at the former Dutch Maid in La Crosse and Silver Dollar in Holmen.  She liked meeting people and could talk and make friends with anyone.  Her and Jerry worked side by side on their farm in Long Coulee, milking cows for 34 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her younger brother, Roland; father-in-law, Jerry Knobloch Sr; and sister-in-law, Carol Russell.

Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughter, Kay (Gerry) Hanson; son, Kevin (Rhonda) Knobloch; grandchildren, Tad (Jesse) Drew, Jason (Kat) Drew, Kelli Jo Knobloch, great-grandchildren, Josh, Jacob, Colton, Khloe; mother-in-law, Mable Knobloch; brother-in-law, Tom (Peg) Knobloch; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Steve) Morey; and many nieces, nephews, a large extended family and many friends.

Her wishes were not to have a funeral but to have everyone celebrate her life.  Carol’s celebration of life will be held from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, May 9th, 2018 at Champions Resort and Grill in Galesville.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.

Not sure if you remember me, Jerry, but your dad use to work our land. We lived down in the coulee from you. My sincere sympathies to you on the death of your wife. Cherish the times you had together and the wonderful memories that you shared.
