Diane Louise (Boettcher)Hilton, 70, of Onalaska, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born on May 28, 1948 to Lyman and Janet Boettcher.

She attended St. Martin’s Lutheran School and Winona Senior High School and went on to the College of St. Theresa. Diane married William A. Hilton on December 26, 1993 in El Paso, TX. Diane and Will met while both were working at Raytheon Industries in Massachusetts before moving to El Paso. After Will’s passing, Diane moved to Onalaska to be closer to her family.

Diane’s pastimes include watching classic movies, visiting family, and preserving family history.  She had a special affection for and is survived by her brother-in-law, Don Lanik; nephew, Chris (Sheri) Lanik and Greg (Jessica) Lanik; and grandniece, Kiera; and grandnephew, Harrison. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Janet Boettcher (Gordon Skoug); her brother, John Boettcher; and her sister, Jayne Lanik. Diane had a generous and compassionate spirit. Her favorite charities included Disabled American Veterans, St Jude’s Hospital, and the ASPCA. It was Diane’s wish for memorial gifts to be made to the Cancer Unit at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.

A memorial service will be held in her honor with memory sharing beginning at 6:30 PM on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Coulee Region Cremation Group in the Prairie Room, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, with visitation starting at 5 PM until the time of the service.
