Frank Michael Racich

Frank Michael Racich, Age 67 of Trempealeau, WI passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN.  He was born on June 5, 1950 in East Chicago, IN to Frank and Eleanor Racich.  He married his high school sweetheart Angie on August 21, 1971 in Hammond, IN.  Frank graduated from Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN with a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering.

Frank adored his family and friends.  He particularly enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and grandpups.  He spent most of his time with his wife Angie.  As a couple they enjoyed family get togethers, attending Brewer games, going out to eat, and spending time with beloved sister-in-law and brother-in-law Andrea and Terry Jessessky of Onalaska, WI and best friends Art and Charlene Condon of Angola, IN.

When not with family, he enjoyed watching his beloved Chicago Bears.  He was an avid history buff and particularly liked anything to do with Civil War, WWII and Aviation.  He loved cooking and grilling for family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife Angela, their children Amy (Tommy) Rohrer, Frankie Racich, Tony Racich and Amanda Racich.  Beautiful grandchildren Norah (8), Liam (6) and Bailey (4), sister-in-law Andrea Jessessky, brother-in-law Terry Jessessky of Onalaska WI, brother-in-law Albert (Mary) Skwiertz of New Richmond, OH, Niece Kari(Casey) Adams of Reedsburg WI, Nephew Jeremy (Luciana) Jessessky of Rosendale WI, and Sara Skwiertz of Columbus OH,  Great Nephews Connor (9) and Ethan (5) and Great Niece Kallie (7).

Frank is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Eleanor Racich, a sister Cathleen Byrne, Parents in law Albert and Eleanor Skwiertz, Grandson Michael Racich, numerous aunts and uncles and cousins.

Thank you to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester MN and the Mayo Clinic Staff at La Crosse and Rochester and all the staff in the ICU, CICU and Hospice departments in Rochester MN for their wonderful attention and care.  Thank you to family and friends for all their love, support and prayers.  Thank you to the Coulee Region Cremation Group for their help and attention to detail during this difficult time.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Holmen WI on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the Church beginning at 10:00 a.m.

    So saddened by the news of Frank’s passing. I can still see those dimples and genuine smile. Frank was like a little brother to my husband; the two of them enjoyed learning to sail together, playing tennis and oh yes, the occasional beer! Nothing but good memories….
