Jeanne Agnes Rendler Johnson, 82, La Crosse, WI

Jeanne went to sing with the angels on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Mulder Nursing Home surrounded by her children. She was born in La Crosse, WI on August 28, 1935 to Edward and Dorothy (Schubert) Rendler. Jeanne was very proud of her upbringing on the Northside of La Crosse. She was born and raised in the Goose Green area and then moved to Indian Hill.

Jeanne graduated from Aquinas High School in 1954. She was very involved with her classmates and continued to attend their class breakfasts on the first Saturday of each month. Her catholic faith showed in everything she did.

She married her classmate Howard Johnson in June of 1956 and later divorced in 1979. She is survived by seven children, eleven grandchildren and one great grandchild. Debra Johnson and her children Jacob and Chelsea Laufle, Shayna (Mark) Fayette, Shelly Johnson (Lenny Sikora), Charlie Johnson and his children Maggie and Grace Johnson, Brenda (Kurt) Wiggert and their children Cole, Chase, his son Braxton, and Haylee Wiggert, Holly (Matt) Hackner and their children Lucas and Anna Hackner, Troy (Sue) Johnson and their children Tianna and Sydney Johnson. Her brother Jim (Jane) Rendler and her sister-in-law Carol Rendler. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Edward, Sr. and Dorothy (Schubert) Rendler, her brothers Edward, Jr. and Tom Rendler.

Her children and her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eye and as well as her great grandson! She was extremely involved in all aspects of their lives especially when it came to the grandchildrens’ sports and events.

Jeanne was loved by all. She was the type of person to offer her help to anyone who needed it. Jeanne loved to sing and dance and brought joy to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten… We love you!

Visitation will be at Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St, Onalaska on Thursday, May 17th from 4-7pm and again on Friday, May 18th at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main St., Onalaska from 10:30am until the service at 11:30am. Holly & Family,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mom. I will remember Jeanne from way back when she attended the kid’s events at St Pat’s to the occasional time I would see here at St Leo’s parish in West Salem. I love her and will miss her. My prayers are with you.
