Joanne Rochester, 82, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Benedictine Manor Healthcare Center in La Crosse.  She was born April 12, 1935 to Leo and Theresa Schneider in Cochrane, WI.  She married Clarence Rochester on July 18, 1959 in La Crosse.

Joanne enjoyed collecting angels and had an extensive collection, traveling to casinos, malls and spending time at the cabin on Lake Holcombe with family and friends.  She enjoyed watching her “soap operas”.  Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her husband and family.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence of 58 years; children, Michael (Judy) Rochester of La Crescent, MN, Dan (RaeAnn) Rochester of Cedar Rapids, IA, Jeff (Eva) Rochester of Bloomington, IN, David (Wendy) Rochester of Naples, FL, Holly (Doug) Cornforth of Onalaska, WI; brother, John (Shirley) Schneider of La Crosse, WI; 23 grand-children; 32 great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; twin sisters and granddaughter.

The family would like to thank the care providers at the Benedictine Manor and Gundersen Health System.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, January 18^th at 11:00 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at the Coulee Region Cremation Group, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.  Reverend Jason Stanton will officiate.  A private burial will be held at a later date.
