Nadine Ann (Marx) Fuchs

Nadine Ann (Marx) Fuchs unexpectedly passed away in her sleep on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at her home in Onalaska, WI.  She was born on March 8, 1957 to Vincent and Bernice (Ziegler) Marx at Sauk Prairie Memorial Hospital. She grew up on a dairy farm in Roxbury, WI, the seventh child of nine before marrying her high school sweetheart, Mark Allen Fuchs, on December 27, 1973.  She attended Sauk Prairie High School, but the couple ended up as prom King and Queen and graduating from Monona Grove High School in 1975.  After moving to Minot, ND for four years, they settled down and made Onalaska, WI their home in 1980.

Deany (as many fondly called her) enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was an avid lover of the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, music festivals, and spending countless weekends at their beloved land with her frogs and raccoons.  She was a devoted Packer fan, but most of all, she loved her family.  The only thing she loved more than her kids were her grandchildren, and she fully cherished spending as much time with her grandchildren as possible.  Most recently, she was enjoying some special time with her newest grandson.  She loved to dance and her joy could be felt as soon as she entered the room.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years Mark Fuchs; their children Jesse (John) Weigel, Natalie (Scott) Crothers, Allen (Kalli) Fuchs, and five grandchildren, Neil and Leah Weigel, Will and Cassidy Crothers, and her newest “grandbaby” Walter Fuchs.

She is further survived by her mother Bernice Marx, father-in-law Albert Fuchs, and her siblings Sheila Timme (Brent Lovejoy), Dennis (Sara) Marx, Luanne (Mike) Schindler, June (Bill) Dettman, Eloise Helms, Lori (Steve) Ploetz, Trudi (John) Marquardt, and Duane “Jake” Marx  (Julia Johnson); Mark’s siblings Steve (Patti) Fuchs, and Tami (Bob) Stark as well as many nieces and nephews, friends, and her walking partner and best friend Jolleen.  She was preceded in death by her father Vincent Marx, mother-in-law Priscilla Fuchs, and the twins.

A visitation will be held to honor her on Wednesday, April 5 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Coulee Region Cremation Group 133 Mason St. Onalaska, WI. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 6 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church 1031 Main St. Onalaska, WI with a visitation from 10:00 am at the church until the time of the mass.  Msgr Steven Kachel will officiate.

Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
