Pauline F. McKenzie, 97, formerly of Santa Maria, CA passed away peacefully on June 24, 2017 at Marinuka Manor in Galesville, WI. Pauline F. Egenes, was born December 2, 1919 in Seattle, WA, to Ole S. and Ethel M. Egenes. In 1929 she moved to San Pedro, CA with her mother and brother, Robert Egenes. Pauline graduated from Narbonne High School, Lomita, CA in 1938. She married Ross W. LaFond in 1942, Long Beach, CA and had two children, Susan and Steve. In 1979 she married Holbrook “Mac” McKenzie in Concord, CA. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Ole S. Egenes; Ethel M.(Louis) Griffin; brother, Robert Egenes; stepsister, Mary (Griffin)Hennessy; half-sister, Virginia Ugaldi; half-brothers, Louis Griffin and Ronald Griffin; husbands, Ross W. LaFond and Holbrook “Mac” McKenzie; and children, Susan LaFond-Meunier and Steve LaFond. She is survived by Richard (Kristine) Meunier, of Galesville, WI; Aurora Meunier (Eduardo Regalado) of Minneapolis, MN; Christopher Meunier of La Crosse, WI; Karl Meunier (Mercedes Ruiz-Estevez) of Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Rachel Egenes of West Covina, CA; nieces and nephews. At Pauline’s request no services will be held. Internment to take place in Arroyo Valley Cemetery, Arroyo Grande, CA. Arrangements under the direction of Coulee Region Cremation Group.
