Victor L. Samb

Victor L. Samb, of Holmen, WI passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2018 at Marinuka Manor in Galesville. Vic was an only child born to Victor M and Lee Samb (Schnick) on June 22, 1930. He graduated from Central High School in 1949 and went on to attend Dunwoody Tech. Institute in Minneapolis, MN. Upon completion, he entered the US Navy during the Korean War. He served abroad on air craft carrier the Coral Sea. After his Military Duty, Vic was employed for 34 years, until his retirement, as a tool and die maker at Trane Co. He was a lifetime member of Machinist lodge 1145. He married Alice Posvic on March 25, 1955 at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in La Crosse. They were married for 61 years. She preceded him in death on Oct. 1, 2016. He is survived by his son, David (Fiancé Cel Isbell) Samb, both of Holmen; daughter, Elaine Almberg, of Valley City, North Dakota; 3 grandsons, Erik Almberg, of Fargo, North Dakota, Benjamin Almberg and Daniel (DJ) Almberg, of Bottineau, North Dakota; and one great grandson, Tayton Almberg, of Bottineau, North Dakota. A Private family service will be held at a later date.

    Sorry to hear about cousin Vic or should I say Vickie as his aunts always called him. I remember him always with a smile on his face
