William “Bill” Robert Mueller of La Crosse, formerly of Elmhurst, IL, 85, passed away at his home on October 5, 2010. 

He was born on October 6, 1924, in Appleton, WI, to William and Kathryn (Tracy) Mueller.  Bill was a veteran of World War II serving in the army from 1945-1947 in Germany.  After the military he married Margaret Stuckey on January 14, 1947.  He worked at Kraft Foods, Glenview, IL as a research chemist.  He volunteered his time as a coach for youth baseball.  His favorite pastimes were photography, golfing, line dancing, playing bridge, and dreaming.

 

Bill is survived by his two daughters: Kathy (Bob) Mulliner of La Crosse, WI; Becky (Larry) Erdman of Newport, VT; nine grandchildren, Jeni, Kristi, Tracy, Sara, Heather, David, Michael, Kari, and Jessica and four great-grandchildren, Taylor, Belle, Brooklyn and Gabriel.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sister and brother-in-law, Carole (Chuck) Thomason; wife, Margaret; and three sons, Robert, Gene and John.

 

An interment service will be held in Nampa, ID.
