Carol Judith Kuchel, age 74, of La Crosse/Winona passed away Monday
March 31, 2014 at Gundersen Medical Center.
Carol was born April 16, 1939 in Monmouth, IL to Laverne and Doris
(Renner) Hand. She graduated from Monmouth High School in 1957. She married Kenneth Kuchel on June 20, 1959. She worked for Camera Art retouching negatives for many years before returning to school and completing her training as a licensed practical nurse. She then worked for St. Anne’s Hospice of Winona. In her retirement years, she enjoyed volunteering and spending time with her beloved cat Precious.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and brother. She is survived by husband Kenneth Kuchel of Winona; her sons Skot Kuchel of Winona, Jeff (Melissa) Kuchel of Galesville, and Troy (Sherri) Kuchel of Winona; and her three granddaughters Kendra, Kara, and Kelsi. She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, three brothers -in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Carol found much comfort in the bible’s promises, so a memorial will be held Friday April 11, 2014 at 5 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 1900 Bainbridge St. in La Crosse. Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
