Emily Mae Seay, 25, of Superior, WI and La Crosse, WI passed away peacefully on July 18th after a short battle with cancer in La Crosse.

She was born on Feb 26, 1985 to Mary Seay and Robert Carey.

Emily received her BA degree from UW La Crosse in 2009.  Her Major was Spanish with a Minor in Teaching English as a Second Language.

Emily enjoyed art, photography, pottery,camping, travel and caring for children.  She especially treasured her time spent in Mexico (Xalapa Veracruz) and planned to return there.

Emily is survived by her Mother, Mary Seay (Mer); Father, Robert Carey; and Sister, Bianca Seay. Paternal Grandparents, Kate and Sheldon Beavers and Robert and Mary Carey; special family friend John Tallwhiteman.  Many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and close friends and her cat Miel. 

She is preceded in death by her Maternal Grandparents, Mack and Nora Seay of Madison; and Paternal Great-Grandparents, Raymond and Lenora Russell of Superior.

The family would like to thank the staff at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital and the Multicultural Staff and Students at UWL.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at The Pump House Dayton Theater, 119 King St., La Crosse.  Services will follow after the Pump House at Grandad Bluff  in La Crosse..

There will also be a service in the Superior area on Sunday Aug 1st. Coulee Region Cremation Group at www.couleecremation.com is assisting the family.
