I didn’t get to see my grandpa as much as I wanted to living so far away over the years. Every time I did see him though I instantly remembered why I adored him so much. He was a very special man who made an everlasting impression on the man I am today. I will be forever thankful that he was a part of my life. He will be sorely missed not only by me but anyone who had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. He truly had a huge heart and he made our family feel loved. Rest easy Grandpa. I love you.

Just found out about Gene. Gene and I were best friends growing up on the Island. Gene was the first one I met when my folks moved to the Island in 43. We were the same age with birthdays only a few days apart. Gene was a great guy and I have many fond memories of our growing up together on the Island.
