May 30, 2017 | 5 comments

Laurence “Larry” M. LeBlanc, 70, died May 16, 2017 at home due to chronic heart disease. He was born March 9, 1947 in Portage, WI to Dr. Albert and Lois (Kendall) LeBlanc. Larry was a graduate of Wauwatosa West High School and later from UW-Whitewater. He married Colleen Henry in 1974 and later, they divorced but remained the best of friends for the rest of his life.

Larry’s early career included restaurant management and agricultural/large equipment sales for Converse Equipment, Hesston Corporation and Big John. He last worked for over 15 years at Inland Printing, retiring in 2013 for health reasons.

He is survived by a brother, Ken (Maralee) LeBlanc of Northporte, FL and a sister, Marilyn LeBlanc of Chanhassen, MN and her children: Eric (Brooke) Nelson and their children Victoria, Elisabeth and Anna; Lara (Lonnie) Soppeland and children Kyle, Kendall and Kolton.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lloyd LeBlanc.

As an avid reader, Larry was an interesting conversationalist who enjoyed a spirited talk or debate. He was a quiet and gentle man who is sadly missed by his family and friends, particularly Colleen (Ron Thomson) LeBlanc. May he rest in peace.

There will be no service at his request. Arrangements are being handled by Coulee Region Cremation Group and online condolences can be placed there. Thank you to Gundersen doctors and staff who truly did much to promote his life.

Condolences

Larry was a great guy. I knew him in Whitewater and then again in La Crosse with the River City Corvette Club. He was such a positive, good humored man that it was almost impossible not to like him. He got a bum wrap way too early that affected him for the rest of his life. My condolences to you.

Rest in peace Larry. You were a kind brother-in-law. Loved waltzing & listening to classical music with you. Mare.

My sympathy to Larry’s family. I worked with Larry at Inland and remember him as a kind, pleasant person. He always had a smile on his face. I was sad to read that Larry passed away. I hope he had a few good years of retirement – very well deserved. May he rest in peace and may you remember the good times that you shared with him. Thoughts and prayers to Larry and all of you.

Was saddened by Larry’s passing. Knew Larry from back n the 80’s as a Hesston Corp representative at Evans Implement where I worked at the time. Always looked forward to Larry’s visits. He was good and knowledgeable and concerned if we had a problem with product, then of course we’d always have a great laugh too. Wound up playing racquetball ball with him quite a few times then. And always a lot of laughs. He’d stop in at the Chevy Dealership where I worked later to talk Corvettes but lost track of him after that. Ironically was thinking of him just recently and tried to find him with no luck though. Very sad. Larry was a terrific guy and so much fun. He will be missed!
