Linda Lou Evenson, 77, of Holmen, died peacefully on January 25, 2017 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. She was born on September 14, 1939 to Hugh and Elizabeth Morton.

Linda enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, and loved to help out her neighbors. She also had a talent for restoring old houses.

Linda is survived by her daughter, LeeAnn (Randy) Linhart; daughter in law, Jennifer Gaddes and her sons Cooper and Xavier; sister, Mary Roberts; brothers, Hugh Morton, Scott Morton, Pat (Lois) McGovern, and Mike McGovern.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vilas Evenson; son, Donald Gaddes Jr.; sisters, Susan Burt, Nancy Morton; and brother, John Morton.

The family would like to thank all of the local emergency services that helped out in a time of need, and the staff at Gundersen Health System for their loving care.
