Sharon Leonette (Marcou) Schoen, 84, of La Crosse, WI passed away December 25, 2025.

She was born to James and Luciel Marcou on March 4, 1941, and married Walter “Jack” Schoen in 1963. She graduated from Aquinas High School and St Mary’s School of Nursing in Rochester, MN. Sharon impacted countless lives for almost 50 years in her cherished career as a nurse. There was always a glint in her eye, mischief on her mind, and laughter in her heart.

She is survived by children Steve, Lynda, Nancy, Vicki, Joe and their spouses; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; siblings Marianne, Bob and Therese; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter, infant daughter Karen, parents, brother Jim, and grandson Zachary.

All those wanting to share in fellowship with others who love Sharon are welcome on Friday, January 2, 2026, to a Rosary at 9:45 AM, Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, with lunch to follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1031 Main Street, Onalaska. She will be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, La Crosse.
