Obituary
Barbara J. Morgan
Barbara J Morgan, 79 of Tomah quietly entered her meadow on Monday Sept 16, 2013.
She spent 28 years of her career as an LPN caring for others, always putting herself last. Outside of her love of family, She never missed a Packer and she loved her dogs. Barbs road home would have been extremely bumpy if it had not been for the devoted and loving care she received from the Hospice staff.
Barb, or Granny, as she was fondly called was born in Chicago on April 28, 1924 to Clifford and Ida Johnson. She met and married Richard Morgan on April 21, 1961.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida and Clifford Johnson, her Husband Richard and a brother Ward Johnson.
She had 2 Daughters Denise (Michael) Dewey and Stacey (Gene) Zellmer. She had 6 Grandchildren, Richard (Angel) Zellmer, Sara (Christopher) Stalsberg, Daniel (Abigail) Pasch, Julia (David) Barsotti, Jason Redman, and Joshua Redman. She also has 9 great-grandchildren: Xzavier, Anthany, Mackaiah, Aiden, Athena, Odynn, Braleigh, Kailyx and Carter; brother, Wayne (Dorothy) Johnson of Farmington, MO.
She was much loved and will be sadly missed. Barb’s love of plants was legendary. For years, Morgan’s Greenery was the place to buy your flowers and plants. When the grand children and then the great grand children came along they became her #1 interest. She was fiercely loyal to all things family.
Both Barb and her family were encouraged and comforted often by their amazing staff. A loving thank you to all who cared for her.”
A celebration of her life will be held at the First Congregational Church of Tomah on Thursday (today) September 19th. Visitation at 2pm and a memorial service will follow at 3, Burial will take place at a later date.
