Gerald James Lappier, Sr., age 71, of Minnesota City, MN passed away peacefully on September 20, 2013 at his home.  He was born on January 4, 1942 in Winona, MN.  He married Karen Milene on June 4, 1960 in Colorado. 

    Gerald served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1962.  Following his time in the Service, he worked for IBM in Rochester, MN.  He later worked as an independent truck driver.  He retired in 2000.

    Gerald is survived by his wife Karen, two daughters, Tamera Robinson of Stewartville, MN, Shirley (and Jerry) Spoors of Mankato, MN, two sons, David Lappier of Tomah, WI, Gerald Jr. (and Karen) Lappier, of Craig, Montana, six grandchildren, Jessica Riley, Jamie Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Ashley Lappier, Jacob Lappier, Kelsey Lappier, six great grandchildren, and two step-sisters, Nancy Strelow of Le Crescent, MN, and Sandra and Keith Burlingame of Chetek, WI.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a sister-in-law.

    A Memorial for Gerald will be held on Thursday, September 26th from 3 until 7 pm at the Winona Eagles Club, 210 East 4th Street, Winona, MN.
