David L. Brown
David Leslie Brown, 71, of La Crosse, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2013 in Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born on July 7, 1942 to Cecil and Eva Brown. He married Sandra Orr on October 28, 1962 St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Sparta.
He was a big Brewers fan and Green Bay Packers fan until Favre left. His favorite thing to do was to go to the casino in Black River.
David is survived by his wife, Sandy of La Crosse; his children, Lisa Brown of La Crosse, David (Brenda) of Holmen, Michael (Courtney) of Green Bay, Susan Brown of La Crosse; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several brothers, sisters and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mary Elizabeth; granddaughter, Jaclyn Lee; brothers; nieces; nephews; father-in-law Donald Orr and mother-in-law, Grace Miller all of whom waited eagerly for him to come home.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Gundersen Health System who took excellent care of him.
There will be a celebration of life service on Monday, November 25, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Coulee Region Cremation Group with a visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI. The Rev. Bill Bader will officiate. Family and friends are welcome.
