Gerald B. Van Norstrand, 73, born April 28, 1940 in East Virgil, NY to Wilson and Irene (Thornton) Van Norstrand died December 9, 2013 in his home in La Crosse.  He married Eileen “Lee” Harris on October 26, 1961 in Ft. Leonard, MO while he was serving in the US Army.

He worked at the La Crosse Rubber Mills for 13 years and retired after 22 years from Mayo Health System.  Jerry enjoyed fixing things for his friends and family.  He mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Tina (Matt) Sampson; grandchildren, Nicole Petersen, Brice Petersen; great-grandchildren, Preston and Gracie; sister, Joan (Dan) Mudge of Salisbury, NC; and other relatives friends.

He is preceded in death parents; sisters, Doris (Lawrence) Parker, Dorothy (Ed) Yerdon, Gladys (Jinkle) Woodward; brothers, Charlie (Carrie) and Delbert.

Private services will be held at a later date.  Coulee Region Cremation Group is assisting the family.
