Arlan “Ozzie” Oscar Mickelson, 73, of Sparta, died June 8, 2014 at Gundersen Health System in La Crosse. He was born June 5, 1941 to Agnes and Oscar Mickelson. He married Sally Semlar September 22, 1962.
 
Ozzie enjoyed fishing, woodworking, gambling and jokeing around. He was a Jack-of-all-trades. He also made two board games, Hunting and Fishing. He was a veteran of the US Airforce.
 
He is survived by his wife, Sally Semlar Mickelson; children, Dean (Della) Mickelson, Dennis Mickelson; grandchildren, Laura (Dave) Steele, Melissa (Jake Donley) Mickelson, Kristen Mickelson, Melanie Mickelson, Dean Mickelson, Taylor Devenport, Amanda Mickelson, Nate Mickelson; great-grandchildren, Chelsey, Tristan, Alexander, Kirra, Avyn, Traeden, Joey, Charlotte; sister, Lillian Miller; brother, Gary Hull; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special Sparta friends.
 
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Devenport; mother, Agnes (Gerald) Popp; father, Oscar Mickelson; brothers, Maynard and LaVern.
 
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Coulee Region Cremation Group and Funeral Home, 133 Mason St., Onalaska.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
