Obituary
Cathy Lynn (Hill) Wade
Cathy Lynn (Hill) Wade, age 60 of Mindoro, WI passed away on February 10th following a short hospital stay at Mayo Clinic – Fransciscan Medical Center in LaCrosse, WI. She was born on June 6th 1959 to loving parents Les and Sue Hill.
Cathy was a strong and independent person and was one of the first women to graduate from the School of Engineering at UW-Madison to become a successful software engineer.
Cathy loved antiquing and enjoyed attending auctions all over the Coulee Region to look for unique finds. She especially enjoyed finding old antique lamps that she would rewire and restore as well as looking for old valuable books. She really enjoyed the process of searching and finding distinctive collectables. She loved living in the country and walking in the morning with her dogs. Her other great loves were her grandkids, gardening, walking outside barefoot, reading and traveling.
She is survived by her children, Corinne (Tristan) McKittrick and Drew (Jenn) Wade, her parents Les and Sue Hill and her siblings, Beth (Dave) Krolak, Laura (Mike) Oanes, Karen (Jeff) Siewert, Jim (Louise Camillleri) Hill, Jen Sorenson and their families.
In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to your local animal shelter or local Humane Society as Cathy loved her dogs, and all of the many pets she had over the years were adopted.
A visitation will be held from 5pm-7pm on Friday February 14th at Zion Lutheran Church in Galesville, WI.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Cathy’s passing and wish I could attend the service. She was a staunch friend and an adventurous traveler with a dry sense of humor.
I only met Cathy a few times, but being Beth’s sister in law, felt like I knew her better, through Beth. I know how much the Hill family loved being together, especially out at the family farm. My wish for your family is, spending time remembering happy times you have all have, will bring some comfort as you celebrate the life of your mother, sister and daughter.

Judy, thank you for your kind words. Soon before she entered the hospital, Cathy had a wonderful phone conversation with Joe Schuth, remembering our neighbor days when they were in elementary school.
Not enough memories of time together Cathy but all the times shared were joyous and unforgettable. Your infectious laugh and sparkling blue eyes will be for ever remembered.
May the loss of your daughter, sister, mother and grandmother be tempered with wonderful, precious memories.
With much love, Louise

Corrine, Drew, Family and her many friends,
We want to express our sincere sympathy, for your loss. Her obituary described her perfectly. She was an intelligent, kind, caring, independent woman, who stood up for what she believed. Being her neighbor for many years, we got to know her well and appreciated her visits for our kids birthday parties, our chats about animals, particularly chickens and ducks. She showed no fear going into our coop catching chickens in her bare feet or ducks in the mud. I learned a little bravery from her, in that respect. Seeing her walk her dogs on a regular basis was more proof how much she enjoyed life from simple everyday activities.I also appreciated how she looked out for my father and his beef, which were pastured across the road. It wasn’t unusual for a phone call with a possible concern, which he appreciated very much. Please accept our sympathy.
Cathy and I worked together at Watlow, she was an intelligent firmware enginneer, who could spot problems with just a glance at the code… she would always tell you how it really is… and her collection of old work pc… she was missed when she retired, and now will very much so
Cathy was one of our auction pals and will be sorely missed. She had a keen eye for quality and was a wealth of knowledge on a variety of subjects. i will always remember her bright smile and beautiful blue eyes and her wonderful children that she loved so much…. Our condolences to her family and friends.
