To the Friends and Family of Leon Goyette:
We were sorry to learn of the sad news of the death of our nephew and loved one, Leon Ray Goyette. My wife and I are unable to attend the graveside service, but we do extend our sympathies to his friends and family. I am aware that he was dealing with a prolonged illness of COPD , but by the grace of God he has now been released from that problem and is now enjoying the blessings of heaven. I know that Leon was baptized into the Christian faith, since I am his God Father, and that he trusted in Jesus for his salvation. We are assured from God Holy Word , “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved.” (Mark 16:16 EHV). May the sure victory of Christ’s Cross and empty tomb comfort all of us in our bereavement.
We will be giving a memorial gift in Leon’s memory to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Onalaska, Wi according to the wishes of the family.
Sincerely in Christ,
Pastor Ray and Bernice Ziebell
Dear Pastor Ray: Thank you so much for your informative and inspiring words about Leon. Your letter of condolence was read at graveside. Your thoughts confirmed his Christian burial and brought great comfort to his family. Warmest regards. Jan McCormick, Malisa’s grandmother.
I will always remember Leon being one of my favorite bus drivers in highschool.
I will also remember his passion for fishing. (One time he was fishing by a near by creek where I use to live, and I stopped by to say hello while he was fishing.)
I will also remember his sense of humor.
Condolences to Leon’s Family and Friends.

Rest in peace cuz.
Leon and I were in a relationship from 1998 to 2003. We both enjoyed music and went on quite a few road trips to hear live bands. His interest and passion in houseplants got me going as well. Leon had a big heart and when I would be feeling depressed or stressed out about something he would try to make me feel better by bringing home a little gift or if money would be tight a bunch of pretty flowers or such from the roadside. But like a lot of relationships in this world, ours was just not meant to be. But I felt like I needed to say something because he was a big part of my life at the time we were together. Rest in peace Leon…
