David Alan Miller
David Alan Miller passed away on February 7th, 2022 at the age of 59 years old.
Dave was the third of six children born to Raymond and Marilyn Miller in Colombia, South Carolina on Friday the 13th. A date usually deemed unlucky was quickly embraced by Dave who made 13 his lucky number. It was in Dave’s nature to spin life life’s negatives into positives. Dave embraced every shortcoming that headed his way and turned it into something extraordinary and extravagant.
If you knew Dave, you knew music was a large part of his life. He was natural musician and could pick up almost any instrument and play effortlessly. He enjoyed playing guitar, piano, drums, and even harmonica. He also loved to sing and had some bold dance moves to accompany. He undeniably was an entertainer and exuded joy through artistic expression.
In addition to his dedication to music, Dave spent the majority of his life tending to others. He spent many years coaching basketball, gardening and farming, sharing homemade beef pasties and his famous super sweet corn, and caring for and loving his children dearly.
Dave’s life was filled with laughter, adventure, passion, and most importantly – love. He was someone who always had a story to tell and a hand to lend. He had a giving heart and loved to be surrounded by people. He was able to make a friend anywhere he ventured and surely left them smiling. His love for his family was fierce and he will be greatly missed.
Dave is survived by 4 children: Amber, Alyssa, Ahriel, and David Jonathan (DJ), along with his father Ray Miller Sr and 5 siblings: RJ, Cindy, Mike, Matt, and Krista. He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and 7 lovely grandchildren.

Extremely saddened to hear this. He had a big impact on our family coaching our sons in basketball for years. Our fond memories won’t be forgotten. Our prayers for his family whom we also know and love.

You were a co-worker of mine that I’ll never forget. You and your entire family at Miller Quik Print were always so kind. It was fun to work beside you in the early 90’s. You were heavily influenced by the word of God and you passed some of that along to me. – I’ll miss you, Dave.
Sorry to hear the loss of your brother, always enjoyed playing cards over the years. Dave was so soft spoken and nice to talk with.

I really got to know Dave on the senior mission trip when we played some amazing games of euchre. May the family experience God’s comfort during this time as they hear all the amazing memories of Dave and his impact on so many.

i have never known a kinder soul than the one that resided within David,he was like the kind loving nurturing father that i never had. David taught me that love is the most important thing, love your land, love your family, and love God, not just in the words,but in all things. the world’s lost one its brightest lights. you are loved my friend and your memory will forever be held close to my heart.
We can confirm that his beef pasties and sweet corn were indeed THE BEST.

I agree! I will miss Dave! and always cherish the memories I have of him when we would go fishing or picking berries or corn. Over the years from the time I was 5 years old to 27 he was always kind to me and I loved him he will always be to me an example of a good man.
