Obituary
Alyssa Jo Betz “Lu”
Alyssa Jo Betz, “Lu”, passed away peacefully at home on June 22nd, 2022, at the young age of fifteen. Alyssa was born in La Crosse on January 4th, 2007 to Rhea Anderson and Justin Betz.
She just finished her freshman year at Logan High School with honorable grades. She worked at Dairy Queen with a positive attitude and always had a big smile. Alyssa was so responsible and a workaholic beyond her age.
Alyssa grew up from being a straight tom boy to spreading her wings into a spiritual, beautiful young woman.
She was an adventurous soul that loved to explore everything. She enjoyed art, drawing, dancing, making TikTok videos, and thrifting. Alyssa has a passion for collecting crystals. She loved going to the beach with her friends to get her tan on. Her appearance was so important to her. She recently found a love for going to the gym and working out. Alyssa loved sunglasses, jewelry, and doing “fit checks” with her sister and friends. She was a hilarious, outgoing, free spirit and one of a kind that will never be forgotten.
Alyssa is survived by her mother Rhea, father Justin, sister Kiya, brothers Noah and Lincoln, niece Luci, nephew Maverick, Grandma Corky, Grandpa Matt, countless close friends, and many cats.
Alyssa was preceded in death by her sister McKaylee, brother Caden, Grandma Shelley, Grandma and Grandpa Anderson, and Uncle Roger.
The family would like to thank Brooke Richards, who has been my rock, Chrystal, Nikki (Kitty), Beth, Michelle, Jenny, Larissa, Mandi (Mami), Alison, Alexis, and everyone who came to support.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason St., Onalaska, WI

Matt Mormann is my brother. We did not find out until late that Alyssa had passed away. Our family is so sorry to hear of your loss. We loved Alyssa being in our lives when she was a child. Matt was greatly touched when she started to drop by his house over the past months.
Matt is a sensitive soul and could not come to the memorial. He felt his grief would be too much for the family to bear. I just spoke to him and he cried hearing that he was remembered in the obituary.
Matt searched his life for a family and found them in grandchildren that he could never call his own. I am so happy that you call him “Grandpa”. It is good for his heart and soul. He loves you and wants to continue to connect with you.
Thank you
I just came to say how sad I was to hear of Alyssa’s passing. I too knew her through “Uncle Matt”. I remember her being such a fun, beautiful little girl. My thoughts are with you all through this terrible loss.
Thank you
Does she have a burial sight we can viset?
