Edward John Stanislowski
Edward John Stanislowski, 86, of Centerville WI, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday July 5th 2022 at Onalaska Care Center.
Edward was born April 9th, 1936 in Arcadia to Sylvester and Agnes (Brom) Stanislowski. Edward met the love of his life, Theresa Suchla, and they were married on May 2, 1964 at Saint Stanislaus in Arcadia. Ed and Theresa shared a love of ballroom dancing and could be found on the dance floor frequently. They shared 58 wonderful years together; welcoming 4 girls into the world. Edward and his brother Alvin were together almost everyday as they shared a ride to work at L.B. White. Edward enjoyed playing sports and was very active. He also enjoyed making antler mounts and working in his shop. He was proud to serve his country as a member of the US Army. He continued serving his community as a veteran and an active member of the Trempealeau VFW and the Catholic church. His family was always captivated by stories from his childhood and the army. Edward rediscovered his love for art and drawing and made many pictures during his later years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed dearly. He is with the Heavenly Father and reunited with his parents and siblings: Esther Canar, Marie Stellpflug, Betty Stanislowski, Alvin Stanislowski, David Stanislowski and Richard Stanislowski.
He is survived by his wife Theresa Stanislowski, daughters Laurie (Dan) Swenson, Lisa (Mike) Massoth, Nancy Phillips, and Nikki (Jason) Daffinson; 5 grandchildren, Terisa (Jake) Oomens, Lacey Swenson, Marissa (Mitch) Ristau, Shelby Massoth, and Blythe Phillips, and a great grandson Aiden Oomens.
A mass and military funeral will be held on Friday July 8, 2022 at Saint Bartholomew Catholic church in Trempealeau. Visitation will be from 8am-10am, funeral at 10 with lunch to follow in the hall of the church. Father Becker will officiate.
The family would like to extend a huge thank you to the staff at Onalaska Care Center who were not just friends but family; we are blessed to have created such great relationships with you all and are so grateful of the care and love you gave Edward and our family. Words will never express how grateful we are to you.
To the Stanislowski family, our deepest sympathy. Ed worked with my dad Ernie Anderson for many years at L.B.White Co. I have many fond memories of Ed there and company picnics… he was a wonderful man. Keep his memories close to your heart in this difficult time.

My condolences to you all! Ed was an amazing man I will miss him terribly. It was a joy getting to know him and a pleasure to take care of him, he will never be forgotten!
My mom and I are thinking of Theresa and “the girls” and the entire extended family during this time of sadness. Cherish and remember the good times.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Theresa and your family. We enjoyed visiting with Ed, while Jim was in the Onalaska Care Center for 6 weeks. He was a nice guy, who liked to joke around; always had a smile to share. Take care, the memories will be held in your hearts forever.

God Bless you Theresa and your family. My Deepest Sympathy to all of you. I will remember Ed and the great interactions we had on those days when I played my accordion for the residents at Onalaska Care. I will sure miss him! I salute you Ed.
So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I knew Ed and Alvin from LB White when I worked there. Ed mounted the horns from my son’s first buck…many years ago.
