Obituary
Patricia “Pat” Ann Miles
Patricia “Pat” Ann Miles was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed on peacefully surrounded by family at 11:11AM on July 21st, 2022 at the age of 84.
Pat was born to Palmer and Pauline Johnson on February 9th, 1938. After graduating from Logan High School, Pat married husband, George Miles Jr. They were together for 66 years, and had 3 children, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Pat “Mom to Many” was a really good cook. Her family and friends have many fond memories of sitting around the table eating delicious meals like her legendary breakfast with pancakes, and sharing stories while we all laughed at bad jokes. Mom and Dad made our home a welcome place to all of our friends, who actually liked Pat and George better than they liked us kids.
Pat was very compassionate. She had a great sense of humor, and invented new words like “centerized” and “warsh”. She also had her own mother logic. She would say things like, “You’re not sorry, if you were sorry, you wouldn’t of done it to begin with”. She often talked about loving to play sports when she was young as well as cheering for us kids when we played sports. Pat was a big Packers and Bucks fan. She also loved music, cats, dogs and crafts. Mom loved shopping, but she loved life more, and it should be noted that she out lived the mall. Mom and Dad had great friends and it was fun for us kids to be around them.
Pat was a stay-at-home mom until us kids were in school. She then attended Western Wisconsin Technical Institute to become a nurse. Her artistic talents showed in her perfect drawings of the anatomy in her text books. She did extremely well, but was too soft hearted to handle the suffering that nurses have to deal with. She was a bit of a perfectionist, which she showed off working in the produce section of the K-Mart grocery store. Later Pat worked for Cooler Company Credit Union, Dairyland Power Credit Union, and Trane Company Credit Union. Her last position was a billing clerk for Trane Company. After retirement she started her own flower arrangement business/hobby, “Petals by Pat”, and would donate arrangements to local nursing homes.
Pat’s Alzheimer’s diagnosis robbed her of many memories. Despite this cruel fact, she never lost her personality and sense of humor. Up until the end, she could still enjoy the moment and loved to sing along to her favorite movie “Mama Mia”. She also never lost her love of family.
Patricia is Survived by her Husband, George Miles Jr.; Sons, George Miles III “Jay” and Michael Miles; Daughter, Linda Montgomery (Michael); Grandsons, Nick Culpitt (Jessica Koenen), Zachary Montgomery (Christina), Miles Montgomery (Jocelyne), and Michael Miles; Granddaughter, Madison Miles; Great Granddaughters, Jordynn Culpitt, Keira Culpitt, Adelyn Montgomery; and many loved nieces and nephews.
Very sorry for your loss.
My sincere condolences to George and your extended family. May their faith, love and fond memories bring comfort to all of you.

Miles family,
Your wife/mother/grandmother etc. was truly a beautiful person. Like the obit stated extremely hospital and accommodating to me through out the years especially in junior high and high school. She put up with a lot during our intense card games in the basement. She also always had my favorite cereals available the kind with a lot of sugar lol anyway my condolences to family and friends who are celebrating her life but also grieving at the same time. Thoughts and prayers are with you all!

Saddened to hear the news of Pat. We had some great times together, I remember the time at a convention Pat & I were at a movie while George & Rich were flirting with a couple of gals at the bar. The girls disappeared when we showed up. Pat was a great cook. I still use some of the recipes she shared with me. Gonna miss the old gal!
So sorry for your loss.

Georgre,
We remember the good times we had together visiting with our families times or at the house in the “woods”. Pat was hosting the gatherings. She will be missed by so many.
Dale and Karen,
George, Mike, Jay, Linda, and family. We were very sorry to hear of Pat’s passing. Our sincere condolences are extended to you and your family. She was a great lady and will be missed.
Uncle George and Cousins Jay, Mike, and Linda,
I am sorry to hear about the passing of my Aunt Pat. My memories of Aunt Pat go back 50+ years as a child when our families (the Johnsons and the Miles) would get together in La Crosse for either a holiday dinner or a summer picnic at Houska Park. I fondly remember speaking with her several years during a summer cookout at my brother Doug’s house in Holmen. My best memories are Aunt Pat’s unique sense of humor/laughter and calling my Dad ‘Eddie’ as if he was the younger sibling rather than Aunt Pat being the younger sibling. I especially liked the many facets of her life that you wrote about that I am learning for the first time. While visits were few and far between over the years, it was always great to exchange Christmas cards and get updates from Aunt Pat about the Miles family. Thoughts and prayers are with you all.
