Lowell W. Meier
Lowell William Meier age 90, of Onalaska, passed away peacefully on August 27th, 2022 at Gundersen Hospital. He was born February 26th, 1932 to Willis and Loretta Meier. He married Mary Marie Haynes on August 25th, 1957 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, MN.
Lowell served in the US Navy during the Korean War from January 1952 to December 1955. He spent his service time on Tank Landing Ship LST 1101 as a gunner’s mate.
Lowell is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Gina (Kirk) Worrel, Karen Wagner, Linette (Rick) Guilette; grandchildren, Amanda, Brittany, Danielle, Christopher, Andrew, Austin, Kylie, Amy, and Mikinzie; and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Daniel Lee Meier.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at First Lutheran Church, 410 Main Street Onalaska, with visitation from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

Please accept our sympathy for the loss for your family. All the years I worked with Lowell on the RR swapping stories, etc. He always seemed to care for people and idolized his family. May he R I P at a better place.
