Ann’s greatest pleasure and “hobby” was spoiling and playing with grandchildren. She enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit her son, Brad. Spending time with family and friends was important to Ann. She visited vineyards and enjoyed her glass of wine.

Ann is survived by her husband, Terry Burrow; sons, Ben (Rachel) Burrow and Brad Burrow. She is also survived by grandchildren, Amelia and Andrew Burrow; sisters, Chris ( Mike) Mowery, Vicky Freybler, Sharon (Larry) Kelbel; brothers, Tony (Cindy) Freybler and Mike (Mary) Freybler. Ann was preceded in death by her parents James and Nancy Freybler.

Ann’s family would like to thank Dr. Oettel and Gundersen Lutheran Hospice, especially Jason, Julie, and Dr. Larry for their kind and compassionate care shown to Ann during her illness.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 5 at The Gathering Place, 133 Mason Street, Onalaska, at 10:00am and a memorial service at 12:00pm. The family would like to invite friends for a luncheon after the services.  In lieue of flowers, memorials may be given to Gundersen Hospice.

Dear friend Ann, not only were you my boss at Altra, you were my confidant, friend, shoulder, partner, and let me blow off steam more times than I can count. We shared not only work, but personal conflicts when we both needed them the most. When you left, we lost contact for a while and things just weren’t the same at work. We both had a fuse that would set us off from time to time, but leaned on each other for advice or comfort. You liked your merlot ??, me my moscato and we downed them pretty good. We had lots of fun too.
I was so glad to see you at my door after Mark passed away. You were more concerned about me, than what you were going through yourself. We talked a lot that day and it was as if we hadn’t missed a beat. Scheduled a lunch date that we were never able to keep. You were just too sick. I’m sorry you were too sick to take that trip to Disney, but your goal was to send the grands. Please have a glass of wine with Mark, and a Windsor for him, and watch over all of us back here. RIP Ann.

Ann and I were at Aquinas together. For some reason, I was thinking of her a few days ago and just smiled and remembered a lot of laughing together. Maybe she was saying goodbye to an old friend? Smiles and laughter, not a bad legacy. Thanks for the memory. Peace to Ann’s family.

So sorry with the passing of Ann. I worked with her at the city and she had a contagious giggle and laugh. I still can see her smile and I stopped a couple times at Altra to say hi and catch up on our lives. I’ll keep you in my prayers.

Terry, Brad, and Ben, my heart is heavy for you. Please know you’ll be in my thoughts and prayers as you walk through your grief. I have nothing but fond memories of Ann. She was like a second mom to Ryan, and I couldn’t have asked for a better woman to support him through the years. She also willingly shared Brad with our family. We have so many great memories of our time on the river and at the lake. You learn a lot about a woman from spending time with her kids. It was obvious that Ann poured her heart into her family. May you find some comfort in knowing she loved you all with all she had.

Thank you Wendy! We were all a great big family. She loved Ryan and those are such sweet words. I see my mom a lot in myself and am so proud of that. It makes my day to know that others see her vibrant personality in me too. I miss you all!!

    Ann,

You were an inspiration to the Merchants family. You were really slow on the daily Word Unscrambles but we all had fun trying to figure them out. You showed many of us the joy of life, the love of a Heavenly Father and a love of family. Enjoy your daily swims with Pappa….. 2 Timothy 4:7 – I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. God Bless you Ann Burrow…. Thank you for always being YOU…

    • Bradley Burrow

Thank you Larry. She had so much fun at merchants and I cannot believe how many people showed up to the service. It really made me so happy to see the impact she had on you all

We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Ann with every trip to the Merchants Bank lobby. She always had a warm greeting and a big smile. If we had time, we’d have a little chat and catch up on our families.
Our deepest condolences to all who love her. Prayers for faith and peace to her family.
