Nancy Eileen (French) Cozy, 71, of DeSoto (formerly of Stoddard) passed away on January 31, 2023 surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.

Nancy was born on September 13, 1951 to Joseph and Harriett French. She graduated from Sparta High School and worked various jobs over the years. Nancy married Brian Cozy on June 14, 1980, had three daughters and then later divorced. She enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandkids. She also enjoyed going to the casino with friends. Nancy had a way with making friends with anyone she crossed paths with and bringing laughter to any sort of situation. `Her courage and strength was inspirational to all.

Nancy is survived by her three daughters: Brittney (Dee), Danielle (Luke) and Emily Cozy; grandchildren: Tanner Ostricki, Riley and Mykena Burberry, Freyah and Beyla Robertson, Nevaeh and Landyn Sanders; along with step-daughters Carla Amundson and Angie Gaul; her sister Jody Haid and Bernice Grimmett as well as nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Esther Fennigkoh as well as other half-brothers and half-sisters.

Thank you to the Mayo Health System for her care over the years. Would also like to thank the Hospice team at Mayo Health System. Although her time with them was short they did an amazing job of making sure she was taken care of and comfortable.

At her request there will be no services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
