Louis “Lou” Ferguson
Louis (Lucky Lou) Ferguson age 75 of Mindoro, WI, was called to home on April 12, 2023. Lou was born to John G. and Emma (Kurt) Ferguson of Chatfield, MN on June 24, 1947. Lou was enlisted in the United States Army March 15, 1966 to March 15, 1968. He is a three time Purple Heart and two time Bronze Star of valor recipient for his honorable service during the Vietnam War.
Lou was a sheet rocker by trade. Later in life he married Wanda Riddle Winslow of Mindoro, WI and of this union, he became a step parent to Jamie and Jake Winslow, and a grandparent to Cagen, Aiden, and Addi which were very dear to him.
Lou is survived by his wife, Wanda; stepchildren, Jamie and Jake; step-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Terry (Gayle) Riddle; sons, Tate Ferguson, Brooker Ferguson; daughters, Taryan Ferguson, Kris Neis; brothers, Robert (Barbara) Ferguson of Winona, MN, John B. (Julie) Ferguson of Chatfield, MN.; sister, Shalimar (Leonard) Schaitel of Sparta, WI; niece, Alissa Schaitel of Sparta, WI; nephews, Scott Michelson of Chatfield, MN, Shane (Tracey) Ferguson of Chatfield, MN, and Cody (Jennifer) Ferguson.
Lou is preceded in death by his parents, John and Emma; nephews, Travis and Torrey Michelson of Chatfield, MN.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Bluebird Campground, La Crosse, WI, on his birthday, June 24th, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
