Janice C. Cleary, 94, of Onalaska, Wi, passed away peacefully during her sleep, on November 8, 2023, at the Onalaska Care Center.  She was born on June 3, 1929 to William Joseph Liebel and Alice Augusta Strehl.  She was married to Harold J Cleary until his passing (3/15/2008).

Jan was a talented wood crafter, who participated in arts and crafts fairs for many years.  Her beautiful crafted wood deers were extremely popular and loved.  And you can’t forget her wooden ducks with their colorful bandanas.

She is survived by her daughter:  Linda J Cleary & son-in-law Ron Zuber (Henderson, NV); daughter-in-law:  Ann Cleary (Fairview, MI); grandkids: Alexandra (DeNovi) Jones (Pullman, WA) and Paul DeNovi & Maria Pulido (Chicago, IL);  and her great grandkids:  Oliver & Reagan Jones (Pullman, WA).  As well as many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband:  Harold J Cleary and beloved son Howard (Howie) Cleary.  As well as her 2 brothers and 4 sisters.

The family would like to thank The Mayo Clinic Health System- Franciscan Healthcare and Onalaska Care Center for their amazing care of Jan since April of this year.   And we are grateful for the care provided by the Hospice Team.

In Lieu of flowers the family would like any donations to be given to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society on behalf of Janice and Howie Cleary.
