James A. Handley
James A. Handley 80, of Trempealeau, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2024.
He was born on October 13, 1943 to Kenneth and Evelyn Handley. He met the love of his life, Carol when he caught the garter and she caught the bouquet at a wedding. They were married one year later on January 9, 1965.
Jim was an avid fisherman, hunter, gardener and Packer fan. He loved to tell stories and was really good at it. He loved any kind of card game. Jim had a successful career in the produce industry. He was a member of the Trempealeau Lions Club.
Jim is survived by his wife Carol, daughter Lisa Mayer (Don), son Jim (Kris), grandchildren Noah Mayer, Sean Handley and Bridget Handley, brother Edward, sister Cheryl Handley – Beck (James) and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Kay Marie Gimail and sister-in-law Pat Handley.
The family would like to thank the kind staff at Marinuka Manor.
A service will be held on January 26, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the United Methodist Church 24255 4th Street Trempealeau, WI. Pastor Mary Beth Scow will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Methodist Church in Trempealeau.
